Seminole Community Volunteer Program- Calendar of Events Sat., Sept. 24 UCF Pre Professional Medical Society Haulover Canal Cleanup 8a-12nTh., Sept. 29 Special Friends (Elementary School Mentors) Training for Dividends 9a-11a Sat., Oct. 1 Making Strides for Cancer Help with Registration 6a-8:30a, Parking 6:30a-9a, T-Shirts 6:30a-9:a, Food and Water stations 7a-10a, Cheer and Morale Volunteers 8a-10a, Cleanup and Breakdown 9a-12n. Various timeslots available 6am to 12 or 1pm (Registration will require a one hour orientation on an evening approximately two weeks prior.) Mon., Oct. 3 State Special Olympics Bowling Altamonte Lanes   We need 40-50 volunteers monitoring bowling lanes during competition Time slots: 8:30a-11:30a and 10:30a-2p Wed. Oct. 5 State Special Olympics Aquatics Orientation for Volunteers, Eastmonte Civic Center, 830 Magnolia Dr., Altamonte Springs 6p-7p Sat., Oct. 8 State Special Olympics Aquatics Lake Brantley HS Field House area 25 volunteers needed to escort athletes and for check in. 7am - 12 noon and 11:30am - 4pm 8 volunteers needed. (Special orientation meeting Wed., Oct. 5, Eastmonte Civic Center, 6p-7p) Sun., Oct. 9 State Special Olympics Lunch 6 volunteers needed to pack lunches and distribute 11a-12n Wed. Oct. 12 - through Thurs, Oct. 13 Tentative Flu Shot Distribution - Altamonte - Volunteers needed to assist recipients with registration and processing. October 13 and Sunday, October 16 Buick Scramble Golf Tournament - scorekeepers and alternates needed 4 courses in the Orlando area Sun. Nov. 6 - through Sat., Nov. 12 31st Annual Golden Age Games various times daily, various slots for volunteers available in score keeping and event assistance Sat., Nov. 12 Seminole Community College Volunteer Project Day 8a-12p Sanford Beautification Project.
